Program Overview:
The Automation Systems Technology program is designed to give you the skills you need to enter the growing field of automation/robotic systems in areas that include industrial manufacturing, industrial controls and automation, robotics, and field service. In manufacturing operations, technicians supervise the production and assembly of automation systems equipment, setup, troubleshoot, repair and program automated manufacturing lines. In the growing field service area, they are called upon to install and make operational large computer controlled machine and automation systems and other industrial electronic devices. Well-trained automation systems technicians are able to tackle the complexity of machinery used in business and industry with skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical devices, industrial computers, robotics and automated systems.
