For English Language Learners who want to fine tune their English skills in grammar, writing, listening and speaking. The Advanced level incorporates credits that can be used toward degree level programs at FVTC. After successful completion of this certificate, students may pursue a degree program without TOEFL at FVTC and many other universities and colleges. Improve ability to communicate and interact effectively with English speakers. Advance language skills to pursue a degree program taught in the English language. Upon successful completion of the Advanced level, students may pursue a degree program without TOEFL at FVTC and many other universities and colleges. The prerequisite for the Advanced level is to pass the placement test administered by the ELL Department at FVTC or completion of the Intermediate level.
